Days on Lake Tanganyika

Paddleboarding and kayaking from the beach, hiking in the green hills behind the lake, and long, unhurried afternoons on the sand. A healthy mind in a healthy body, in a paradisiac place.

What there is to do

Paddleboarding

Push out from the beach onto some of the clearest water in Africa. Boards are available for guests, and the water is calmest in the early morning.

Kayaking

Paddle out along the shoreline and around the granite outcrops, with the mountains of Congo rising across the water.

Hiking

Head inland into the green hills behind the lake, through bamboo, banana groves and cultivated slopes. A healthy mind in a healthy body, in a paradisiac place.

The Private Beach

Soft sand, loungers under the palms and warm, clear water. The beach is the reason most guests never quite make it to an excursion.
